SUBMISSIONS

If you are unable to attend our auditions, we will accept a video.  Video submissions will be accepted ONLY during the audition period.  And, although we will accept video submissions, casting preference is given to those that live locally and are able to attend our auditions. There is so much talent in Southern California that we rarely have to go outside of it to cast our shows. If we do not find what we are looking for here, we will go through our submissions. Also, we do not offer housing/transportation for out of town actors.

If you are submitting for one of the Featured Ensemble roles, you must do a video with the sides.    Sides can be found further down, below the “What to Prepare” section on this page during the audition period.

If you are submitting for ensemble, please submit a video of you singing something in the style of the show (NO A CAPELLA).  You must also include a video with some sort of representation of your dance ability, including tap.

Videos must be received by May 10th.  Please submit your video as a link (youtube, vimeo, dropbox, etc.).  Nothing that has to be downloaded or requires a password.

Ensemble includes all featured roles such as Pinocchio, Pied Piper, Thelonius, Gingy, etc.   Seeking strong, vivid, dynamic and quirky comic actors adept at comedy and character work, who have wide vocal ranges. Most must be solid dancers (strong jazz and also tap). Puppetry is a plus.  Note: MOST tracks must tap, but not all.

All members of the ensemble play numerous roles in the show, including:

This character is portrayed with a puppet, which may be voiced and operated by actor appearing as Sugar Plum Fairy. Ideally looking for a dancer or strong mover that must tap.

– Preferred age range 35-50.  The Witch may sing the lead in Freak Flag, in which case be able to sell the 11 o’clock number and have a killer voice.   A DIVA, strong personality, prefer a dancer that can tap or someone that knows how to hold themselves as such and knows how to work a cape/dress; must move extremely well regardless if this role is cast as a tapper or not.  Queen Lillian is Fiona’s mother and Queen of Far-Far-Away. Sings a beautiful duet with King Harold to young Fiona in the opening number “Big, Bright, Beautiful World.” She is elegant and strong.

FAIRY GODMOTHER
– Female, 20-40 years old. A bubbly and funny woman.  Sees the bright side at all times.  She also may sing the lead in Freak Flag, in which case be able to sell the 11 o’clock number and have a killer voice. Ideally looking for a dancer or strong mover that must tap.
